On behalf of LUTHY MACHINES Company in La Chaux-de-Fonds, I'm
pleased to welcome you in our 5'000 sq/m showroom where we permanently
exhibit around 1'000 machine-tools, second-hand and new.
Today, it is my pleasure to introduce you a twin disk lapping machine
DISKUS type DDS 457 R, which has been fully overhauled.
By the way, how is a machine full overhauling work to be understood ?
It just means it has been fully dismantled. Any component bound
to the geometry, precision, repeatability …, is retreated (grinded,
scrapped or else) to get the neces-sary accuracy. Then, all wear
elements as seals, gaskets, bearings aso… are replaced by new
material.
Of course, a full painting work also belongs to the revision work.
This step reached assembling operations can start. Our specialists for
engineering, hydraulic, electricity aso… are looking after a perfect
assembling. Then the machine is put in geometry, checked and hours
long tested.
Totally not less than 1'500 hours for mechanical, electrical,
hydraulic operations would have been necessary to put this machine in
a perfect working condition.
Of course, it is just an example among many others. We would be glad
